It’s Bed Time

Sometimes I feel like I need my mom to tell me when to shut my phone off and go to bed, I probably would not listen, but you know it sounds good.

The experts say children need routine and this includes bedtime, Duh! I didn’t believe it until I tried it and it helped so much. Dinner, Bath, Milk/vitamins, show, teeth, essential oils, hugs/prayer, lights out. Yes I get some crying and fussing but we do that as adults too, just expressed differently.

After the kids go to sleep, I try to have my routine, I am still trying to build it and be consistent, trial and error. If its not working, change it!

The Food Nanny puts her kitchen to bed every night, she likes waking up to a clean kitchen to start her day. Have you tried this before? Do all the dishes, run the dishwasher, wipe the counters and stove top, put away hand washed dishes, pick up and put away ingredients/ things that don’t belong, and sweep the floor. It truly is magical when you wake up the next day. I feel calm and ready to tackle the day with a clean slate.

On top of just the Kitchen I like to wipe down the Dinning Room Table and the kids Table, straighten up the Living Room (Pillows and Blankets) and then take care of me.

I like to have a cup of tea, take my supplements, plan out tomorrow, Floss, Brush my teeth, Shower, wash my face, brush my hair, and apply my oils.

I am trying to get better at having my tea and supplements before the kids go to bed so I am not up going potty every 2 hours. I am also trying to do all of this before 10 pm so I can be off my phone and asleep so I can get up before the kids!

A few days ago I wrote a post about morning routines, be sure to check it out. Link down below.

What would you like for Dinner?

I feel like I am constantly asking this question or for Breakfast or lunch or a snack!! Yesterday was one of those days were I couldn’t think of anything to make and then crunch time hit and all of our meat was frozen! Egg Sandwiches with an apple and veggie straws for the win! I…

Rotisserie Chicken

As an adult I have learned to love a good rotisserie chicken. I kinda find it my super power to get all the meat off the bone. Over the last couple of years I’ve figured out the best place to buy and the easiest way to store a rotisserie chicken. Did I mention it is…

Hi! My name is Ashley and I am a wife of almost 10 years and a mom of Irish twins Daisy (3) and Brady (2). I grew up in a small town and after college moved back to marry my Husband, Corey. I am not perfect at anything I do and will be the first to tell you I struggle with balancing life on the daily. Cooking and Baking are were I feel like I shine, but I enjoy learning and trying all the things.
